Preparing for the future

Uncertainty about the future can be reduced by using foresight tools.  This article describes tools such as scenarios and horizon scanning amongst others.  The 2020 pandemic was described in 2011 in a scenario, but we did not prepare for the inevitable.  The 2019-20 extreme bushfires were warned about several years earlier, but we did not prepare for them.  We need to take foresight tools much more seriously in preparing for the future, in government, business, and in our personal lives.  Includes discussion of the important skills and traits needed.
