Australian food preferences and behaviour


Australian food preferences and behaviour have been impacted by the pandemic and there seems little chance of going back to previous habits in the short-term.  In addition, ethical and environmental aspects of food have crystallised in importance as these issues become more urgent.  There is also a range of dietary needs and preferences which are very important to a significant minority of consumers.  Our report is based on a September 2020 survey.

Our analysis has identified six consumer segments with distinctly different preference sets.
